CR3213-6-04, manufacturer nominal. Simplified envelope model from Cherry CA-1011 p.9 printed dimensions. Manufacturer nominal: printed values, the mean where only two limits are printed. Flush heads hold the printed head angle; the head depth is derived. Not manufacturer CAD. Verify against the current catalog before use. Separate solids for the sleeve and the stem envelope. Axis +Z, head up, z = 0 at the face the head bears on. STEP (AP214) is in inches; STL has no units and is written in millimetres.

“The CherryMAX® Rivet is inserted into the prepared hole. The pulling head (installation tool) is slipped over the rivet’s stem. Applying a firm, steady pressure, which seats the rivet head, the installation tool is then actuated.”

Installation verification and preload
Installed preload
Not published. CA-1011 catalog, CA-1015 process manual, and procurement spec PS-CMR-3000 give shear, tensile, fatigue and flushness acceptance only; no preload figure exists for this family.
What to check after install
- Stem flushness vs top of head, per diameter (above / below max): -4: .010"/.015"; -5: .010"/.020"; -6: .010"/.020"; -8: .015"/.025" (PS-CMR-3000 Table VIII).
- Locking collar flush with top of head within ±.005"; collar flash .010" max.
- Blind-side head formation compared against the published acceptable-formation pictorials; stretch marks acceptable.
- Grip and material marking on the head must remain readable after install.
- Stem may be shaved to the top of the sleeve only if protrusion was within limits first; shaving into the head is not allowed (CA-1015).
Check gauges (3) and sources.Details
- 269C3 grip selector gage (NSN 5210-00-255-7544): measures stack through the hole before install.
- T172 GO/NO-GO hole gages (T172-4/-5/-6/-8 nominal; -400/-500/-600/-800 oversize).
- Installed flushness is a dimensional/visual check; no dedicated installed gauge is published.

Cautions
- “Caution: DO NOT drill completely through the rivet sleeve to remove a rivet as this may enlarge the hole.” Cherry CA-1015 (CherryMAX process manual), p.17, Rivet Removal ↗
None of the removal procedures on file gives a composite-specific removal caution. The Monogram specs address composite at the hole instead: holes "reasonably round and free from burrs (metallic structure) and delamination (graphite/epoxy type structure)" (MBF2003 §5.1).
