Tooling source notes
- MRL1003 §7.5: "In those instances where special driving tools are adopted by the user, wrenching speed of this tooling shall not exceed 600 RPM." §4.3: "only the approved tools listed in Tables 1 and 2 ... be used".Specification, not interview: Monogram MRL1003.
- Alternative tooling works in practice: roughly 500 RPM with the right torque and fittings, and shops fabricate the fittings in house. None of the removal procedures on file gives a composite-specific removal caution. The Monogram specs address composite at the hole instead: holes "reasonably round and free from burrs (metallic structure) and delamination (graphite/epoxy type structure)" (MBF2003 §5.1).
Tool tables are the manufacturer's as published in the cited revision; confirm current tool PNs with the manufacturer or distributor before purchase. Not a certified process authority: install and remove per the OEM process specification.
